CIHT Annual Awards 2025

The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Awards 2025 is an annual global competition that provides the work you are most proud of with the recognition it deserves. The awards are free to enter and are judged by impartial expert judges with a diversity of experience and opinion. There are two bus specific awards: BCoE Bus Person of the Year and BCoE Bus Initiative of the Year. The winner of the BCoE Person of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony – the shortlist for this award will not be published in advance.

The awards celebrate excellence and innovation within the highways, transport and infrastructure sector and the shortlists, below, showcases the successful organisations, projects, innovations and brands to a global audience of leaders, decision makers and the budget holders of the sector.

BUS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR SHORTLIST:

Recognising outstanding initiatives within the field of bus transportation that have made a significant positive impact in England.

  • Buses and Businesses Against Abuse - Stagecoach East, in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Cambridge and Peterborough Rape Crisis Centre 

  • Catch the Bus Month - Bus Users UK

  • Coventry’s Electric (Coventry Electric Bus City) - Transport for West Midlands, National Express West Midlands, Stagecoach Midlands, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council, Zenobe

  • Passenger Incentives Programme (PIP) - Transport for West Midlands

  • Portsmouth Bus Partnership- Portsmouth City Council, ITP, Stagecoach South, First Bus South

  • The Tiger Pass - Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority

  • Warrington’s Own Buses in partnership with Warrington Borough Council: Driving Innovation, Sustainability, and Community Engagement in Public Transport   - Warrington’s Own Buses, Warrington Borough Council
